Mary, our tie dye creator and my very dear friend, and I have traveled to many festivals and states this season. As the season of festivals comes to a close, it's time to reflect on the wild adventures that we had.
We started the season with Reggae Under the Stars near San Antonio, Texas. A project of love created by veterans to promote healing and unity. It was a weekend to remember and my favorite of the season. It was filled with good vibes, great sales, and awesome music.
We continued on to Oklahoma for the Freedom Festival in Lawton joined by Laura, a special person and dear friend. Patriotism was in the air and despite the 107 degree temperatures, the American spirit shined through with friendly people and great customers. The fireworks and the first ever synchronized drone show in Oklahoma did not disappoint.
The Peach Festival in Stratford, Oklahoma had the best peach ice cream EVER. My granddaughter, Kyleah supported us. I got to see her shine interacting with all who came to our booth. The crowd was not fazed by the rain and just kept on coming. It is a must do for next season.
We showed up powerfully in Nebraska at the Heartland Pride Festival in Omaha. The support and love shown for the LGBTQ+ community moved me deeply. Our visit was short, we made the most of our time there.
The Hippie Fest in Bellevue, Nebraska was our element. From the first minute to the last, the color, tie dye, flower crowns, music, love and energy were spectacular. So much positive energy from everyone.
We are in Oklahoma to rock the Wewoka Sorghum Festival next week. A festival to share the history of the town. An opportunity to showcase the sorghum process as it was in it's heyday, still with horse drawn stone presses.
Each festival brought it's own energy, creating memories and smiles that will last a lifetime. Here's to the festivals that brought us together, allowed us to share our passion for tie dyes, while celebrating diversity, freedom, and love.
A shout out to all of our team, I love you so much!
WE ARE PLANNING OUR NEXT SEASON, TRAVELS, AND SHENANIGANS!
